Lates news - June 2011
- Feel Good Co-op has attended lots of Festivals and Open Days so far this year; the one we went to for World Health Day 2011 on 9th April was very well attended. The day was held at the Thamesmead Town centre. There are some pictures in the gallery, so check them out, you may see yourself if you attended. Thank you to everyone in Trust Thamesmead for putting on such a lovely day, and for allowing us to be part of it. The work we did promoted our existence, and we all enjoyed getting to know some more people of Thamesmead.
- Due to financial constraints we have had to say goodbye to the ‘Greenmead drop in’. We did apply for funding and have been trying to keep it afloat for the last 6 months, but sadly we have to cancel the service we offer to the people of Thamesmead. A final event will mark the end of our time there. The 2011 Summer Event will be held on 16th July. As some of you know, we had a good time last year, and this year is promising to be even better!!
- There will be local groups telling all of us about the things they have to offer, for example; a gardening club, a photography club and a host of other good things. Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, a Drumming Group, and taster massage treatments for you to try.
- Do come along and join in – the whole day is FREE, there will be an opportunity to donate if you wish. There will also be raffles and a tombola for you to try your luck ---- See you there??
- A Raffle is held each month to help us sustain the work we do, and the Summer Raffle has a bottle of champagne as first prize, along with lots of other goodies. Please support us by selling some tickets; contact Sandy on 07970 369960 and she will post some to you for sale.
- Feel Good Co-op has begun to change the way it is governed, we now have trustees as well as managing committee members. If you are interested in helping by becoming a trustee and giving in a practical way, please contact Sandy on 07970 369960, and she will happily talk you through what may be expected of you, and she will also tell you about how rewarding this work can be.
