- Sandy was re-elected as Chair/Co-ordinator at our annual general meeting, Helen Allen stepped down and Rita Wall is now secretary. Feel Good Co-op would like to officially thank Helen for all her help as secretary in the past. Angelo also stepped down as treasurer and Gbemi/Jo is now fulfilling that role, Angelo set up systems that are invaluable in being able to track our finances and Feel Good Co-op are extremely grateful to him for his past commitment.
- Feel Good Co-op are currently working in Lakeview Court in Thamesmead (sheltered housing) one afternoon per week, and hope to be able to expand to other housing/care home environments soon (funds applied for)
- Lakeside Health Centre appointments are back to normal now, after the problem Feel Good Co-op have had with retaining space to work in. Hopefully, this will now be the best service ever for the patients of Lakeside Health Centre. Thank you to all the patients that have stayed with us throughout the difficulties Feel Good Co-op has had.
- The Saturday drop in has been growing steadily, and all the members of Feel Good Co-op look forward to having more people come along on a fortnightly basis for short therapy sessions at affordable prices. The next ‘drop in’ is this Saturday 26th June from midday – do come along.
- Feel Good Co-op members have all been working hard and have enjoyed being part of the local community events lately. The Erith Festival was a great success and the bad weather held off, thankfully. The Oxleas NHS trust held an event for carers and their families recently in Charlton, and again we were able to promote our work.
- The best news is that we are holding, with the local Neighbourhood Watch and Greenmead Sure Start, an event which we hope you will support. The event will be a street party and fun day for local residents and supporters of the Fell Good Co-op. We will be sending out further information nearer the time, but do put 10th July 2010 on your calendar as a day to enjoy with the Feel Good Co-op.
- There is a raffle that will be drawn on 10th July at 2pm. with great prizes. If you want to fly to Europe for free, or enjoy a luxury hamper, or indeed own an original art work, done by local artist James Hardiman, just buy a ticket for £5 from us. Just call Sandy on 07970 369960 for further information. The money raised from this raffle will help to ensure that the ‘drop in’ continues, until funding can be secured.
- STOP PRESS There will be a Psychic supper event in the evening of 10th September. 7pm until 10pm. Only 28 tickets available. If you want a meal with friends and a clairvoyant to do a reading for you at the price of £15 per perosn, get in touch with Sandy asap. Email feelgoodoop@hotmail.co.uk
