We are at Gallions Reach Health Centre each Wednesday. Appointments are available from 10am - 6pm (last appointment 5.p.m) to give treatments to patients at £10 for an appointment. The appointment times are hourly as this arrangement gives the therapist and the client time to discuss any issues they may have. After the treatment a little time is taken to write up any notes and to make the room ready for the next person. Treatment time is usually about 40 minutes. To make an appointment call the diary line on 07908 034081.

We are proud to be part of other events in and around Thamesmead.

We are looking to work closely with local over 50’s groups in the Thamesmead area, so watch this space for more news. Alternatively, if you wish to receive our e-newsletter on a regular basis please email us with your details and we will add you to our contact list.

We are currently contacting residents at Lakeview Sheltered housing block (close to the Southmere Leisure Centre) as the valuable work we did there has ceased, due to lack of funding. The reports we have had from management is that the residents and staff loved the treatments that Mandy gave during her visits. We hope that we can continue with these visits after our consultation with the residents and a small charge per treatment is agreed. Watch this space for further developments!

Feeling Good Fridays at Bostall Gardens, Plumstead is an established project that we are proud to be a part of. The weekly ‘drop in’ run by Listening Ears – see the website: www.listeningears.co.uk/. We attend on the first Friday of each month. Our regular therapists are very well received and the attendees all appreciate the work we do there. Thankfully, this work is being funded by Oxleas NHS trust and we are happy to be able to give treatments free of charge. Do go along to enjoy a back rub and discover what good work Listening Ears does for the community too

We are also working now, with Waterways Children’s centre, Southwood Road, Thamesmead, SE28 8EZ to expand our outreach work. Taster sessions are being tested each Thursday and Friday during November and December to see if we can have regular slots from the new-year. We hope to have weekly session for people to come for one hour appointments at the very low cost of £10 each Tuesday afternoon and Friday all day from January. For further information please call our info line or watch this space!!

One of our members, Dr Simon Shaw has also kindly agreed for us to have space at Bullbanks Medical Centre, Battle Road, Erith DA8 1BJ. The one hour therapy appointments (Tuesday afternoons) can be booked by calling the centre direct on tel: 01322 432997. This is another new venture and we hope that it will grow successfully and help lots of Dr Shaw’s patients to benefit from integrated health care in their local surgery.
